What makes you happy?

Very often, when everything is going well and I should be doing a Gene Kelly routine, I feel sad and troubled. Then I start to think and always end up asking myself what the hell is wrong with me. I mostly don’t find the answer. This afternoon, I’m sitting in my office and one of the orchids is in bloom. It is beautiful, not showy like some. Its beauty is quieter, in an up close way. This orchid is aromatic.

As I sit here, typing, the aroma hits me every once in a while. It smells like an expensive perfume, not at all sweet, but clean, cheerful, slightly intoxicating and always surprising. This makes me unconditionally happy.
